Betterdays Media partnered with UNINTERRUPTED to create and sell a new sports-driven documentary series executive produced by LeBron James. The result was “The Machine: Long Beach Poly Football,” a seven-episode docu-series chronicling the story of one of the most legendary high school football programs in American history. The series sought to illuminate the 2017 Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits — a team fighting to uphold a proud legacy while navigating the modern realities of underfunded public-school athletics.

Over five months of unprecedented access, Morgan and the Betterdays team documented the lives, challenges, and triumphs of the players, coaches, and community that fuel the Poly program. The series captured the emotional dimensions of a once-dominant powerhouse now cast as a perennial underdog in a landscape dominated by million-dollar private schools and elite sports academies. The narrative blended on-field drama with deeper stories of identity, struggle, opportunity, and resilience.
