Body Good

Client: Shaggy (featuring Nicky Jam)
Medium: Custom Comic Book and Animated Music Video
Roles: Creative Director, Writer

  • For the release of his hit single “Body Good” (featuring Nicky Jam), iconic Jamaican artist Shaggy wanted a promotional piece unlike anything traditionally used in music marketing. Instead of a lyric video, billboard, or social ad campaign, he asked for a custom comic book that would embody the energy of the track and appeal to fans in a visually explosive way.

When asked which genre he wanted — fantasy, sci-fi, or reality — Shaggy famously said:

“All of the above… and something with the ocean.”

That single line became the creative mandate.

  • Morgan wrote and creative-directed a genre-blending comic that fused fantasy, sci-fi, oceanic imagery, and surreal adventure into one cohesive visual story. The result was a wild, high-energy comic that matched the tone and personality of the song while bringing Shaggy himself into a vibrant, stylized universe. The imagery, pacing, and worldbuilding were designed to feel as rhythmic and dynamic as the track itself.

    • Wrote the full comic script, combining multiple genres per Shaggy’s request.

    • Created a story concept that visually echoed the tone and vibe of “Body Good.”

    • Directed overall visual style, character depiction, and thematic storytelling.

    • Collaborated with artists to ensure likeness accuracy and cinematic flow.

    • Balanced music branding with narrative creativity to create a unique promotional asset.

    • Produced a one-of-a-kind promotional comic that stood out dramatically from traditional music marketing.

    • Gave Shaggy a collectible, high-impact visual piece tied directly to the release of “Body Good.”

    • Demonstrated how comics can elevate a music campaign by creating a deeper, story-driven fan experience.

  • This project showcases Morgan’s ability to translate a musician’s creative instincts into bold, multi-genre storytelling, delivering a promotional asset that feels fresh, unexpected, and emotionally aligned with the artist’s brand and music.

You’re dreaming.
